Anatomy of a Diaper

ATT Diapers are diapers that contain the goodness of the long-lost tradition of using cloth for diapering babies with the convivence of disposables. ATT diapers are washable, reusable and baby friendly. ATT diapers can be washed after every use and be reused for the baby.

Our diapers are One-Size fit all, each diaper can fit babies weighing 5kgs to 18kgs. The diapers grow along with your baby, each diaper can be used for almost 2 years.

Prepping the Diaper

• Prepping is the process of washing the cloth diaper repeatedly before the first use in order to help the inserts reach their maximum absorbency.
• Mostly natural fabrics like bamboo , hemp etc take atleast 3 to 4 washes to reach good absorption.
• All our cotton inserts are made of pre-washed organic cotton fabric and hence just need one wash for it to start absorbing.
• The absorption of the inserts only increase with more of washes.

Types of cloth diapers

ATT Cloth diapers can be categorised into two types.Based on the size of the diaper

1.Newborn diapers: fits babies weighing 2.5kgs to 6 kgs

2.Regular diapers: fits babies weighing 5kgs to 17kgs

Based on the utility of the diaper

1.Daytime COVER diapers: These diapers can be used during the day! ATT Cover diapers come with two inserts which are 100% GOTS certified organic cotton inserts. These are Pad-and-pant system, in which you can change the soiled insert and reuse the same cover/shell for 2 to 3 times. One insert lasts for 3 -4 hours and this makes it laundry friendly and a good daytime options.

2. Nighttime BUMKIN diapers: These are the best night time diapering solution you can give your little one. Each diaper comes with a 100% GOTS certified organic cotton insert anda booster which can be used at the same time which will last you overnight. These diapers are lined with Stay-Dry fabric which keeps the babies completely dry and free from wetness .

Sizing of the Diaper

One of the most important steps in cloth diapering is sizing of the diaper. The perfect fit ensures that there are no leakages and keeps the baby comfortable

Steps for sizing

• 1. It is necessary to size the diaper according to your baby’s weight.
• 2. Sizing of the diaper needs to be in such a way that there is no gap between the thigh and elastic. Slight elastic marks on the baby thighs are common, so do not worry.
• 3. Refer to the above sizing chart for ATT diapers, kindly note that the weight of the babies may vary according to their body structure and this is just an approximation of the sizing done on 10 different babies.

Washing and maintenance

Washing and maintenance of the cloth diapers decides the life of the cloth diaper and hence it is one of the most important process.

Notes:

• 1. To keep diapers soft, do not dry on your dryer's hottest setting.
• 2. Use 1/2 cup lemon juice to whiten.
• 3. When line drying diapers with elastic, drape them in a way that supports the elastic so that the weight of the wet diapers is not stretching out the elastic while the diaper is drying.
