1. What is ATT Cloth Diaper? Is it Cloth or Diaper?

ATT Cloth Diapers are diapers that contain the goodness of the long-lost tradition of using cloth for diapering babies with the convenience of disposables. Diapering of the baby through disposable diapers has been in trend only over the few decades.

A cloth diaper is a washable and reusable diaper made from natural fibres, man-made materials, or a combination of both .

2. What is an Insert and Booster?

Inserts are absorption pads which are designed to be stuffed into ATT diapers. They are usually rectangular, and are made of absorbent material. There are different types of inserts such a Bamboo, Cotton, Hemp.

Boosters are used with inserts to provide extra absorbency. Boosters are also often added to all-in-one diapers for heavy-wetters and for overnight use.

3. What is the outer layer of the diaper made of? Is it harmful for my baby?

The outer layer is made of 100% waterproof polyester and TPU which is breathable and highly durable providing excellent comfort for your baby while taking them for a walk, ensuring prevention of leakage. The inner layer is made up of a staydry and extra soft micro fleeces lining that protects your baby’s skin from moisture and keeps the bottom dry. The outer layer does not harm the baby.

4. Why are there so many snaps on the Diaper?

All our diapers are ONE SIZE FIT ALL i.e each diaper fits babies weighing 5kgs to 18kgs for regular size and 2.5kgs to 6kgs for newborn size. The snaps are for the sizing of the diapers according to the baby’s weight.

The horizontal line of snaps is for the waist adjustments and the vertical line of snaps is for height adjustments

5. How do I wash ATT Diapers?

6. Can I use rash cream for Cloth Diapers?

Use of rash cream is not advisable before using ATT diapers as the rash cream will become a barrier of the inserts reducing the absorbency and increasing the chances of moisture prone rashes. Coconut Oil and Olive Oil may also be used as a moisture barrier. Using a stay dry liner will help prevent moisture rash when cloth diapering overnight. To buy click here

7. My Diapers smell in a weird way, how can I remove it?

The smell in diaper is due to residue buildup of ammonia or detergent which is not been washed properly . You can get rid of the smell by a process called STRIPPING of the diaper.

8. What is stripping of a diaper ?

Stripping is a process that removes buildup and residues from fabrics. If you have a good wash routine and you have matched your detergent to your water hardness you should never need to strip a cloth diaper. If you're low dosing, using essential oils or fabric softeners, or boutique brand detergents in hard water, stripping is inevitable!

Stripping is best done in 2 stages, the first to remove residues and hardened soils, the second to remove mineral buildup.

Stage 1: Remove residues. Pre-soak your cloth diapers for 30 minutes in a laundry tub/sink using very hot water mixed with ½ cup of good detergent. Now send your diaper to the washing machine, wash HOT without using detergent, double rinse. Do not dry wash them but sun dry them

Stage 2: Removing minerals: There are a few options for removing minerals. You can use off the shelf demineralizers like bleach or simpler solutions like vinegar (acetic acid) or lemon juice (citric acid). In either case, you're adding a slight acid to dissolve minerals. Add bleach (as mentioned in the instruction) together with a half load size (top load washing machine) or mix together in your laundry sink. If using vinegar or citric acid, you'll need 4-8 cups per load. Let your diaper soak in this solution for an hour, then send them for another detergent free wash cycle, again doubling the rinse at the end.

Your cloth diapers should be good after this process. If you detect any residual small from the detergents, vinegar etc, run them through a regular wash cycle.

9. What do I do when there is a leakage problem with ATT Cloth Diaper.

9.1 Improper fit of diaper

Poor Diaper Fit is the most common reason for diaper leaks. Diaper should not be too tight or too loose. For sizing of diaper click here

9.2 Improper washing routine

9.3 Repelling in Inserts

If you are sure that the fit and absorbency of your diapers is adequate, then your issue might be repelling. Repelling is due to build up on your diapers and usually happens after you have used them successfully for a while. Buildup can be from hard water mineral deposits, too much detergent that isn't being adequately rinsed out. Hot water wash or stripping of the diaper once every 2 months can solve this issue.

10. How many ATT Diapers would I require to exclusively cloth diaper my baby.

11. Stay dry inserts are made up of Microfiber, how can I use it on my baby?

Micro-fibre is a synthetic fibre which has the very good moisture absorbing capacity. But in direct contact on the baby skin can cause rashes and hence all our inserts are topped with a stay dry layer . Hence the baby will never feel the wetness
